Netizen shared OOTD photos during Midterm Elections went viral

The Philippine midterm elections has just past and candidates who won has been proclaimed. However, a story of a netizen during the heat of the elections last May 13 went viral in Clarin, Misamis Occidental.

Kevin Nano, 25, a freelance hair and makeup artist once stood out and get the attentions of many voters because of his #OOTD (outfit of the day).    

In the pictures he shared to social media, Kevin can be seen wearing a black one piece swimsuit with a black cover on top, partnered with a high heels.

“I felt bored at that time… thinking of what to do… then mi sud sa akong mahiwagang utok nga mo vote ko mag outfit ing ato! And them boom! Nahugyaw among skwelahan gibutaran! Hahahaha,” He told CDN Digital.

(I felt bored at that time, thinking of what to do. Then an idea struck me to just dress up. And when I reached the school everyone was in awe of how I looked.)

He recalled that when he went to his designated precinct People were mesmerized, and all are staring at him and even others wanted to take pictures. That day seemed like there's a superstar coming to cast votes. The photo that was posted today, May 25, 2019 has already reached 4,500 comments, 23,000 shares and 40,000 reactions.

The post was captioned with a short exchange of conversation between him and his mother.

Me: To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers. One who does not vote has no right to complain. We must vote for hope, vote for life, vote for a brighter future for all of our loved ones. The vote is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have.
