Proclaimed new Leyte Mayor beats rival by a single vote

Re-electionist municipal mayor of San Isidro, Leyte Susan Ang lost against Remedio Veloso of the United Nationalist Alliance by just a single vote. Veloso got 8,829 votes while Ang got 8,828 votes under the PDP-Laban.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) officially proclaimed Remedio "Wingbebot" Veloso as the new municipal mayor of San Isidro,Leyte .
