This group of students picture is UP Diliman's pride that are set to receive the highest academic honors of Summa Cum Laude on 108th Commencement Exercises this Sunday, June 30.
A record-breaking 55 summa cum laude graduates from UP Diliman this year is on the spotlight - the highest in history of UP system. The number of summa cum laude graduates this year in Diliman campus is doubled from the last 10 years.
The College of Engineering delivers the most number of summa graduates with 18 students, College of Science with 12, and the College of Business Administration with 6.
Meanwhile, the College of Social Science and Philosophy shares 5, College of Fine Arts 4, College of Human Kinetics 3, Schools of Economics 3, College of Arts and Letters 1, College of Mass Communication 1, College of Education 1, and School of Statistics 1.
From the group, Jaron Nicolas T. Uy who took up Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering received a highest general average of 1.019.
A total of 3,981 undergraduate students will be receiving their diploma at the UP Dilaman graduation rites with 1,058 Magna Cum Laude, 392 Cum Laude students, and 1,069 will be conferred a graduate diploma.
