A huge 7.3 magnitude earthquake causes panic in eastern Indonesia that hit off remote Maluku islands on July 14. Panicked residents were running outside the streets. No tsunami warning was issued.
The quake struck about 165km south-southwest of the town of Ternate in North Maluku province with a depth of 10km, at 6.28pm local time.
many people ran towards higher ground, TV footage showed panicked people in a shopping mall screaming.

Authorities said that the quake did not have the potential to case a tsunami, and asked people to remain calm and prepares for more aftershocks.
