MMFF: Metro Manila Film Festival to run twice a year starting 2020

The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has a great news for fans of Filipino movies. Starting next year, you will going to experience more Filipino movies as the committee approved the proposal of Sen. Bong Go to hold MMFF twice every year.


The MMFF held during Christmas will remain, while the second edition of the film festival dubbed as Metro Manila Summer Film Festival will run every April 11 to April 21.

Like its former runs, the film committee will choose eight official entries to be screened exclusively in theaters across the Philippines.

The second edition will be held in partnership with the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), the Metro Manila Council, and Metro Manila mayors.

The grandiose parade of the stars will be held on April 2, 2020 and awards night on April 15, 2020. The showing of official entries in cinemas nationwide will be from April 11 to 21, 2020.
