Are you planning to go to Taiwan? Then, this year up to July 2020 is still a perfect time for you to visit the country, as Taiwan is extending its 14-day visa-free privilege.
Not only the Philippines will be enjoying this kind of privilege, it include also citizens of Thailand, Brunei and Russia after seeing a remarkable growth in tourist numbers from these countries.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines reminds Filipinos who's going to travel Taiwan, they must ensure they have a definite return trip, accommodation, and a clean criminal record. The 14-day visa-free period is not extendable and the counting begins the following day of your arrival.
According to Taiwan's tourism statistics, from 18 New Southbound Policy partner countries, most of which are Association of Southeast Asian Nations countries, including the Philippines, Thailand and Brunei, made a total of 2.60 million visits to Taiwan in 2018, up 13.61 percent over the 2.29 million visits recorded a year ago.
