Ex-NBA player KJ McDaniels signed for TNT KaTropa in Governors' Cup

KJ McDaniels, a former Houston Rocket player was tapped to reinforce TNT Katropa campaign on the 2019 Governors' Cup to start on September 20.

McDaniels, 26 was a second round draft pick by the Philadephia 76ers in the 2014 draft will play alongside with former Rockets teammate Terrence Jones in 2015 season. The 6'6" McDaniels who played for two seasons with Rockets in 2015-16, has executed averaged record of 5.3 points, 2.2 rebounds in his 148 career NBA games.  

He was dealt to Brooklyn Nets in 2017 before joining Grand Rapids Drive in the NBA G-League. This new reliable import for the TNT is believed to have brought by team consultant Mark Dickel, in hope that he could lead the team's success in the PBA G-Cup. 

Returning to the top of the list contenders are Justine Brownlee (Brgy. Ginebra), Allen Durham (Meralco Bolts), Romeo Travis (Magnolia), Olu Ahaolu (NLEX), and Eugene Phelps (Phoenix).

Meanwhile, grand slam-seeking San Miguel Beer is reportedly tapping seasoned Dez Wells for the Governors' Cup.
