Tanduay Rum Fest Concert in Bacolod Top Bills Sandwich, Idol PH and local bands in the country

The week-long celebration that seeks to highlight its sugarcane industry will be held from August 17 to 24 is in partnership with the city government of Bacolod.

The iconic OPM alternative rock band Sandwich and other top performer artists in the country are expected to join the Tanduay Rum Festival concert on August 24. Joining Sandwich are Idol Philippines' Dan Ombao and Miguel Ordon; Fil-Am rapper Mike Swift, Project Juan of Bacolod, Barbie na Doll, and Cali Island.

Composed by frontman Raimund Marasigan, guitarists Diego Castillo and Mong Alacaraz, bassist Myrene Academia, and drummer Mike Dizon, the five-piece ensemble is expected to perform their staple hits, as well as the songs included in their newest and eighth studio album “Debris”

However before your excitement last, on its opening day August 17, the fest will be holding an Open Kitchen Competition and a Mixology Contest. Contestants will be preparing dishes and cocktails using rum, and will be judged by prominent culinary and mixology practitioners. 

It will take center stage also the visual artists of the Island from August 19 to 23 for Street Art and Barrel Art painting. On August 24, 5K Rum run with mini obstacle course and street dance parade will complete your day before your head bang with the country's rock band at night.
