President Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that President Rodrigo Duterte has fired Vice President Leni Robredo as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee in Anti-illegal Drugs or ICAD.
Panelo confirmed this in a statement released by CNN Philippine.
Previously, Duterte said he will not hesitate to fire Robredo if she will share state secrets to foreign entities. He also expressed his lack of trust to the Vice President because she is a member of the opposition.
