The Vice President of the Philippines Leni Robredo has accepted the challenge by the administration to co-chair the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD). The administration and other Senators like Sherwin Gatchalian dared Robredo to accept the challenge of leading the government's war on drug.
In his Twitter post Gatchalian said, "I strongly suggest that VP Leni should accept the "drug czar challenge".
"It will be a good opportunity for her and her team to use their alternative strategies to eliminate illegal drugs in the country," Gatchalian added.
Meanwhile, Robredo in her acceptance speech she said, "the most important consideration for me is simple, if this is the change to stop the killings of innocent people and hold those responsible accountable, I will shoulder this. I am accepting the job being given to me by the President."
