While the internet are busy choosing for the potential candidates on the next beauty pageant, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has something to say about her choice as she sees pageant-queen potential for this young actress.
The Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano would be a "wonderful" representative for the country, she said during a press conference on Thursday as she signed contract with ABS-CBN's publishing arm for the launching of her book titled "Conquering Your Universe" by next year.
"Everyone’s always wanted Liza to join, ‘di ba? She’s very, very beautiful. I feel like she would be wonderful," Catriona said.
"But I really feel that it needs to be the girl who wants to do it. Even if you have so many people saying, ‘Yes, this is for you! This is your path!’ unless you feel it… It needs to be your own passion, it needs to be your own will," She added.
Liza Soberano's name has long been at the hype in social media as the top choice for the next beauty queen. However, Catriona admitted that she doesn't want to pressure the Kapamilya actress to join pageants. Added that it needs to have her passion and still goes down to her willingness of joining pageantry.
Catriona Gray's upcoming book is about her journey on being the Miss universe.
"It’s a collection of lessons that I’ve learned in the past couple of years that I feel really allowed me to achieve what I did — things that I learned from a personal perspective, things that I learned in regards to dealing with others, and also about giving back,” she said as quoted from Philstar news.
The beauty queen assured that her book will not be exclusively about pageant, but also lessons that can be applicable to anyone.
