3 young man providing relief to Taal victims die in road accident


It was supposed to be a fulfilling moment that they lend a relief to Taal victims in Batangas, but in all of a sudden this three lad died in a car collision while on their way home.

Rio Abel, Maximino Alcantara and Darwin Lajara, all in their 20's, hit a trailer truck as they were driving along San Jose town at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a police report said. The accident took place hours after they visited an evacuation center.

According to police report, Alcantara's Mitsubishi Lancer was traversing the southbound lane of the road when it accidentally hit the entering Isuzu Tractor Head of a nearby establishment.

The report said Abel and Alcantara died on the spot. Meanwhile, an acquaintance of Lajara said he died Wednesday morning while being treated at a hospital.

Social media friends and relatives were saddened, and condolences poured as people hailed the heirosm and act of kindness they showed in the last day of their life.

Tens of thousands of people were evacuated in Batangas and nearby places according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
