The mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor who is set to return to the cage against Donal Cerrone, said a deal with superstar Manny Pacquiao was close to happening soon.
"I'm open to other boxing bouts.
"There's been talks about the Manny fight as well, we were actually close to signing Manny.
"There was an offer made on that. Just not yet," he told Ariel Helwani of ESPN.
McGregor who made his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather reiterated that he wants other bouts and claim that one day he will be able to hold boxing gold.
"I want to box again. I will get a boxing world title.
"I love boxing, I truly love boxing. And I'm damn good."
The Irishman also said he would love to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. again.
"The only reason I lost that bout is I prepared for a backfooted style of opponent, and he came forward and start pressing and I wasn't sinking into my shots," said McGregor.
"It was great to fight Floyd, great to to be in there with him. He's truly crafty.
"It was a great, great experience and I look forward to doing it again.
"It will happen, it's going to happen again
"I know I'll beat Floyd when we rematch."
McGregor suffered a 10th round TKO loss to Mayweather in his professional boxing in 2017.
