One Piece Live-Action By Netflix Is In The Works

Netflix has officially announced a One Piece live-action series with a ten episode to watch soon.

One Piece, the popular Japanese manga is among the most longest running media content in the current anime show.

It is wildly popular in Japan and other Asian countries for over 2 decades. It's said that One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, together with Steven Maeda (The X-Files, Lost) and Matt Owens (Luke Cage, Agents of Shield) will personally be involved in the project being the executive producers and writers.

Although the details of the adapted manga anime weren't disclosed, Oda reassured fans that he will give the hundred percent justice to the original, before he would allow to proceed it on screen.

Since it was first announced in 2017, only just recently Netflix's gave a green light for the live-action adaptation. The anime is currently approaching the 1000 episode mark.

“I know I announced the production of this back in 2017, but these things take time,” Oda says in a handwritten note posted to Twitter.
