Coronavirus infections in South Korea skyrocket to more than 700 have been infected. An alarming development has reportedly placed the entire country on red-alert status as confirmed case numbers keep rising.
Six people have died from the virus and reportedly a major cases have originated from the city of Daegu, and more than half of confirmed cases were linked to a homegrown religious association.
As of the writing, South Korea have over 763 confirmed coronavirus patients, while 7 people have already died - according to a latest report from New Straits Times.
According to Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention they placed more than 9,000 Shincheonji members in self-quarantine and thousands of worshippers have been tested for the virus, quoted on The Guardian report.
