Positivity Emerge To These Ilonggo Nurses By Creating Teletubbies-Themed PPEs

Only those who have gone through hardships and have made it through by being patient and rational will understand the meaning of positivity. Today, the whole world is put into test. Everyone, with no exception, is dealing with the same difficult circumstances.



But nothing could beat these group of Ilonggo nurses at the Medical City in Iloilo. Recently, Adrian Pe, nurse and fashion designer - together with his fellow nurses are going above and beyond amidst coronavirus pandemic. 

Despite of panic and uncertainty surrounding the deadly virus right now, one thing is certain: medical health workers are working incredibly hard.  

Adrian and his co-nurses creates protective suits for frontliners, in fact they have produced 30 improvised hazmats in violet, yellow-green, yellow, and red colors. These colorful suits have bring nostalgia from the characters of the children's show "teletubbies," aims to spread positivity.

These are the product from about 40 nurses who pledge additional effort on sewing while not on duty.

“Some of our co-workers that faced discrimination due to Covid-19 patients admitted they opt to also stay in the hospital. We make the PPEs to become productive in our free time,” he said.

“We will not let the virus destroy our healthcare team. As front-liners, we will not enter the battlefield unequipped. It is essential that we have full gears for donning and doffing,” she said.




The group of nurses is also thankful on how the Ilonggos extended help through donations.
