Police officer praised for sending a woman back home for her dying mother from Cavite to Bulacan

A police officer who respond to a social media post of a woman stranded in Cavite that needs to go home for her dying mother has been praised for her selfless act of kindness.

According to "24 Oras" report, police corporal Joel Santos Marcelino from the Manila Police District Headquarters responds to the social media post of PJ Rodriguez after learning her plea.

Due to the enhanced community quarantine over Luzon, Rodrigues was stuck in Dasmarinas, Cavite where she worked at a fastfood chain. Hopeless Rodrigues who found out her mom was no longer conscious in Bulacan was quick to ask for help through her Facebook account  to anyone that could bring her to her dying mother.

"Wala na po akong ibang choice na naisip kundi i-post sa social media na kung sinumang may puso na makakatulong sakin," Rodriguez shared. "Parang hinang-hina po talaga. Hindi po siya nakakadilat, hindi na rin siya nakakapagsalita."

Her post was quick to spread in social media and upon learning it, the police officer contacted Rodriguez and personally fetched her from Cavite to Bulacan.

Unfortunately, she wasn't able to see her mom alive for the last time. Her mom had already passed away.

However, Rodriguez was still thankful for the help she received from police officer Marcelino to see her mother one last time.
