Thousands of Chinese tourists flocked as the country reopened businesses amid COVID-19

Tens of thousands of Chinese tourists flocked to the nation's popular places as major cities across China has reopened businesses, despite the warnings from the health authorities that the risk remains far from over.

Images have emerged online showing Huangshan mountain park in Anhui province on Saturday April 4 flooded with thousands of people. It comes after local government in Anhui Province offered free entry to 29 scenic spots, including Huangshan, to attract tourists.

However, Chinese Center of Disease Control and Prevention chief epidemiologist Zeng Guang warned the public that China may faced a new stage of the health pandemic, citing that China's fight to contain the virus has not been reached the end.

Massive crowds forced some scenic areas issue notices to advise tourists to change their travel venues due to over capacity reception.

The famous Yellow Mountain in  Huangshan had to close after a mass influx to the area which exceeded its daily capacity of 20,000.

Internet users felt anxious about the crowded scenic spot that according to them might end up on possibilities of infection transmission.

Meanwhile Chinese people in Shanghai went on shopping while others visited the popular Bund waterfront, after months of travel restrictions and strict lockdown measures.
