There's always this cartoon show that gets stuck with you over and over again regardless of how old you are, Tom & Jerry and Popeye are those type of shows that will always be one of the most loved and remembered of all times.
But unfortunately the man behind this great nostalgic animations passed away at 95. Unexpectedly, Gene Deitch was found dead in his apartment Thursday night.
Deitch has directed 13 episode of beloved children's characters Tom and Jerry and a number from the series Popeye the sailor. He was also behind the Academy Award-Winning animated cartoons such Munro, Tom Terrific, and Nudnik.
