Here's What Public Transport Will Look Like In The Philippines After ECQ

Different mode of public transport in the Philippines are now preparing to be ready under General Community Quarantine (GCQ).


Under the new normal the primary focus should, of course, be on the health and safety, considering that the mode of transport in the Philippines are usually packed with commuters. The current emphasis on social distancing on public will likely part under the new normal even after the current health threat will passed.

The Department of Transportation has released photos of the public transports where "social distancing and proper health and sanitation measures are strictly being observed."


"Personnel from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) continuously conduct inspections in several areas to ensure compliance of both the drivers and passengers," according to the agency.



LRT-2 coaches have been plastered with 'Stay Here' markers to guide passengers and ensure the social distancing inside the train. On thesame moved, plastic barriers were installed on MRT-3 coaches  and floors.
