Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Department of Education (DepEd) postponed all school events and activities such as commencement exercise, as precautionary measure against the spread of the virus.
However, this teacher doesn't stopped to bring the happiness to her students by bringing the certificate of recognition and medals on their doorsteps.
While the biggest challenge of DepEd to date is the actual school opening, initially the agency eyed to open the class on August based on its consultations with stakeholders and existing law, DepEd Undersecretary and Spokesperson Annalyn Sevilla said as quoted in MB reports.
However, DepEd has yet to announce the school opening schedule for SY 2020-2021 because it will have to submit its proposal and recommendations to the Inter-Agency task Force (IATF). DepEd noted that its decision on school opening and other related matters will depend on the projections of the IATF and the overall health situation in the country amid the pandemic.
