Travel pass no longer required for inter-island travel in Western Visayas

Western Visayas officials agreed to reopen their borders on June 16 for inter-island travel, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said.

Inbound and outbound passengers for Bacolod and Iloilo will no longer required to secure a travel pass. However, the governor said health protocols will still continue, wherein those arriving will undergo tests and will be required to undergo home quarantine.

The governor also added that despite Western Visayas is set to resume the reopening of its borders, still he expressed doubts about allowing the resumption of travel between Negros  Occidental and Cebu, citing the latest coronavirus patient in Negros was a locally stranded individual from Cebu.

Lacson said that he had a positive reponse from the Mayor of San Carlos City allowing stranded individuals to pass through the city.
