ABS-CBN chairman Carlo Katigbak was seen emotional in a short clip shared on Gerald Anderson's Instagram account.
In his moment to give message for his 11 thousand workforce who lose their jobs due to the shutdown of the network, heartbroken Katigbak momentarily stopped while he was holding on his tears.
"First of all, I want to thank everyone for…" he quipped, then he suddenly paused. He tried to continue with a cracking voice, “First of all, I want to thank everyone for fighting with us.”
On May 5 the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued cease and desist order following the expiration of ABS-CBN Corp. franchise.
Recently, after the House legislative franchise and good government and public accountability committees held 13 hearings tackling various issues for media giant, 70 lawmakers voted on technical working group's (TWG) recommendations to deny ABS-CBN's franchise application.
