Philippines surpasses 80,000 coronavirus cases

According to the latest Department of Health COVID-19 bulletin as of July 26, 2020, the Philippines logged a total of 80,448 on Sunday with 2,110 new confirmed cases. The department announced 382 recoveries which bring a total at 26,110, while the death toll climbed to 1,932 with 39 new fatalities.




There are 52,406 active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine. All the figures reported on Sunday were based on data collected from 66 out of the 90 operational laboratories in the country.

The five provinces with the highest number of cases are Metro Manila (1,345), Cebu (304), Laguna (109), Negros Occidental (66), and Rizal (40).

meanwhile, the Department of Health also released an infographic of hospital beds and mechanical ventilators for COVID-19 patients.
