Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., who has tested positive for COVID-19 was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday. His wife Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla said in a post on her Facebook account.
It showed that the senator has developed pneumonia and the "isolation in a regular facility is no longer ideal," she said. "Hospital care badly needed," she added.
While being isolated in a hospital, the senator was able to capture some moment alone to update his followers.
He can be seen on his bed wearing a face mask, and notably showing coronavirus symptoms such as cough. He could hardly say a word on his live video, except he asked his fans to pray for him.
