Actor Matt Evans was arrested on Friday, July 31 from his home in Sampalok, Manila. The warrant of arrest was issued by Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12, under to Presiding Judge Carmencita Lacandazo Logan.
Evans who allegedly violated the Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, was first arrested for the same charges filed by his former live-in partner, Johnnelline Hickins back in October 2012.
According to reports, the bail recommended for his temporary liberty is fixed at P36,000.
Evan was married to businesswoman Riza Katrina Evans, who was arrested on December 2019 for estafa.
She was also freed temporarily after posting P30,000 bail.
