The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) will be filling the Manila Baywalk with tons of white sand as rehabilitation continues along the stretch of Manila Bay.
“Dito po ay mararamdaman nila na kahit paano, para pong nasa Boracay na rin sila (We will bring the white sand to them…In a way, they will experience how it is to be in Boracay),” DENR USec. Benny Antiporda said.
However, some environmental groups have questioned the move and the kind of white sand that are going to use, claiming that it will be sweep away when typhoon comes.
