Filipino-speaking Aussie vlogger doctor who belied 'slimming' brand gets sued

A Filipino-speaking vlogger doctor in Australia is facing lawsuit after calling out another doctor and a slimming coffee brand.

In a 10-minutes YouTube video of Adam Smith with a screen name Doc Adam he informed his 1.7 million followers that he is leaving the platform, after a famous doctor named Farrah Agustin-Bunch and a weight-loss brand filed a legal action against him.

According to him, the controversy broke out after he gave his contradicting review to a slimming brand and to Bunch's medical advice about cabbage as a cure to any form of inflammation.

In the video which was posted by Smith on September 12 with the title 'The Worst Doctor' advice in the Philippines, he showed a clip of Bunch, saying someone has "anything swollen" in the body, whether it’s dermatitis, muscular strain, or sprain, the person should use “cabbage compress.”

To his response, Smith disagree to Bunch's advice telling his followers that a patient needs a "proper physical examination and medicine" for their illnesses.

In the video, he revealed that the alleged lawyer of Bunch's went to his office and wanted him to pay damages amounting to $US100,000. He also alleged that the lawyer even threatened him to remove his medical license from the Australian Medical Board.
