Slapshock's fans were shocked after a news Thursday morning broke out.
Police reported that the 42-year-old metal rock band vocalist Jamir Garcia took his own life in his home in Quezon City. His aunt found his lifeless body, he was rushed to the Metro Manila North Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. Report said that the singer hanged himself.
Fans have been mourning his loss, whose pain and passion behind his voice and music allowed him to connect with everybody every time they performed.
A day after, his photo together with Linkin Park's front man Chester Bennington resurfaced on social media with fans immediately start picking out patterns of their death.
The news about Chester Bennington's death in a tragic way seems to have also shattered and crushed Jamir's heart. He took to Instagram and shared a photo of him together with Chester when they met at the Singapore's MTV Asia Awards in 2013 and 'also during a benefit Show for the Typhoon Yolanda in Los Angeles'.
Jamir also poured his sadness to hear the news for his very idol group's frontman, Chester Bennington.
"This man and his band helped shape me and my band to what we are right now," Jamir said.
The late Chester Bennington is best known as the lead singer of Linkin Park. On July 20th, 2017, Bennington also took his own life by hanging.
