Whoa, milk tea fans rejoice! Taiwanese bubble tea chain 'Tiger Sugar' to open its first Visayas branch at The Grid Atria building in Mandurriao, Iloilo City on November 8, 2020.
Milk tea is nothing new but Taiwan's famous brown sugar boba that is made with fresh milk 'tiger stripes' in layer of caramelized brown sugar is really worth the hype.
Despite of the coronavirus pandemic the trend doesn't seem to be dying down any time soon as we expected more brave and patience junkers will endure long lines just to get a cup of milk tea.
It's sweet without being cloyingly so and rich without that surge of regret upon first sip. It's just the right amount of caramel sweetness. The boba is a little on the softer side – but it still has a nice bite.
