Video captures gunbattle between highway police and occupant of unplated SUV in Cavite went viral

 One Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) and an ex-Philippine Military Academy cadet has died in a gunbattle during a routine check on unplated SUV.








The fatalities in the clash along Manila-Cavite road in Barangay 8, Pulo 3, Cavite City were Chief Master Sergeant Julius Arcalas of Cavite Provincial Highway Patrol Team, and occupant of Nissan Terra, Methusael Cebrian Cambia, said to be a dismissed member of Philippine Military Academy Class 2007.




Other wounded in action were Captain Eduardo Joy Guadamor, Staff Sgt. Emerson Domingo and a civilian identified as Eduardo Magbanawho was hit by stray bullet which said to have been coming from a caliber 5.56 Bushmaster assault rifle, fired by Cebrian. 





Citing on the video which circulated online, it can be seen an HPG officers talking nicely to the passengers of the unplated SUV while the officers are explaining to their violation and asked for the passengers identification. 



Apparently, the driver of the SUV closed the window while the officers were waiting - later one of the officer knocked the door of the car and quickly a gunshots can be heard.




Cebrian was hit and died as police returned fire, while the driver of the SUV sped off who was identified as Raymond Zuñiga. However, Master Sergeant Arcalas died while being taken to the Cavite Medical Center.
