Watch: Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger sings cover of 'Pangako' with Troy Laureta

Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls performed her own version of Asia's songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcazid's "Pangako", a treat for her Filipino fans.

Nicole took to social media and surprised everyone with a snippet of a new song cover that she sang in Filipino.

The Filipino-American singer's rendition of the popular OPM classic is part of the album "Kaibigan" by Troy Laureta. Nicol said that she felt like it's a 'perfect opportunity' to honor her Filipino heritage.

"I really hope that this collaboration makes my Filipino fans proud!," she said on her Instagram post last Monday, Nov. 23.

“This was my first time singing in Tagalog…I hope you all enjoy it as much as I loved singing it from all my heart to yours. Pangako means promise and it’s available now on all streaming platforms,” she added.

The song 'Pangako' was originally wrote and composed by Ogie Alcasid and popularized by his wife Regine Villasquez.
