6 Boracay tourists arrested for alleged fake COVID-19 tests result

Better not to do this when your planning to visit Boracay. Authorities in Boracay said they have arrested six tourists for allegedly giving false RT-PCR test results for COVID-19.

The group arrived the island on Dec. 5, was sent on a 14-day quarantine after it was found out that only one of them submitted a genuine COVID-19 test.

According to police chief Lt. Col. Jonathan Pablito, the six will face multiple charges such as falsification of public documents and for violation of republic Act No. 1332.

All tourists entering Boracay are required to present negative RT-PCR results before being allowed to enter.
