Jomax Peak in Don Salvador Benedicto is worth the drive

 Don't forget to take a drive on this cool spot in Don Salvador Benedicto if you ever need a nature escape!

Known as a little Tagaytay in Negros Occidental, this spot to run to when you've had enough of the city is heaven as it's packed with panoramic mountain views.

Jomax Peak is a cozy place tucked into the hilly slopes and it has a sprawling veranda overlooking the mountains. It is around an hour's drive away from the nearby Bacolod City, but the serenity and exclusiveness to nature are worth it.

You can play around every side of the deck for a photo ops. You are in the right place to sip a cup of coffee while looking at the lush mountain rages and sometimes you might experience to enjoy the extra ordinary sea of clouds.

Rates and Accommodation:

Day accommodation (9AM-4PM)

• Sun shade: P750 (weekdays) / P1,000 (weekends); good for 1-5 guests
• Veranda shade: P1,500 (weekdays) / P1,750 (weekends); good for 6-10 guests
• Pavilion: P2,250 (weekdays) / P2,500 (weekends); 15 guests
• Whole day EXCLUSIVE use: P8,000 (weekdays) / P12,000 (weekends); 35 guests

*Note: All the cottage fees are inclusive of entrance fee, use of the reserved cottage or structure, public veranda, pool, and unli native coffee. Amount to be paid remains the same regardless if the number of persons in a group does not meet the minimum number.

Overnight camp (4PM-8AM)

• Outside the structures: P1,000
• Payag (Nipa Hut): P3,500 (10 adults /12 years and above); Bed, pillows, and blankets NOT included.
• Exclusive use of ALL structures: P7,500

• Tents for overnight use: P300/tent (3-4 persons; does NOT include pillows and blankets and must be provided by campers)

*Note: For those who are going to camp overnight, children below 2 years old are not allowed. Furthermore, their gates close by 6:30 so make sure to be there by 4PM-6:30PM.

How to get there?

• Exact location: Barangay Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
• BY BUS:  From Bacolod City, ride a Ceres Bus bound for San Carlos via Salvador Benedicto. These buses can be found at South Ceres Terminal, Lopez Jaena Street, Shopping, Bacolod City. Just inform the driver to drop you off at Jomax Peak (their entrance is situated just along the highway). Fare is P70-P120 one way and travel time is 1.5-2 hours.
