Singer Morissette Amon announced on the eve of December 22 that she's engaged to boyfriend Dave Lamar on Instagram. The 24-year-old shared a series of photos with a gleaming diamond ring on her left finger captioned, "More than just an 11:11 wish, you're an answered prayer."
"After finally letting our families and most of our closest friends know in the past couple of months since this happened, we're finally ready to share it to the world.. WE'RE ENGAGED!"
Amon, recounts their nine years relationship, seven years of which, was being "best friends" with 30-year-old Lamar. "Our second round at love, each other's firsts.. and now, last and only," she said.
It was in the mid-2019 when Morissette and Lamar's romance became a subject of social media debate after her father expressed his disapproval of their relationship.
"Our journey wasn't at all perfect, but it's beautiful and ultimately, ours. thank you for staying.. you didn't just fight for me, but also believed in all that I can do, even when I didn't.
While neither Morissette and Lamar has spoken explicitly about the engagement, fellow celebrities in the industry has wasted no time conveying their elation to the twosome.
