Viewers of "Pinoy Big Brother: Connect" feel that Pampanga Justin Dizon went too far when he expressed derogatory remarks to fellow housemate Jie-Ann Armero. Justin told Jie-Ann: "Pinag-uusapan ka namin kasi hindi ka naliligo."
Then he called Jie-Ann to wait, approach her and wiped his hands in the towel wrapped around Jie-Ann's head, prompting Jie-Ann to respond: "Okay lang. Tubig lang naman 'yan eh."
But Justin continue to tease Jie-Ann saying, "Pinaglawayan ko."
Jie-Ann, to her response, "wala akong pakialam. Sanay na ako sa ganyan."
But Dizon continued, " Sabagay, marumi ka nga pala."
The incident eventually trended on Twitter, Dizon appeared to be blindsided by accusations of racism.
A netizen said: "Apparently, Justin Dizon is trending on Twitter (and maybe on other social media outfits) because of his trashy, unprofessional attitude towards Jie-Ann. Dizon used to be the "voice of the marginalized" but seeing him inside the PBB house, he is nothing but an elitist oppressor."
Isn't it ironic that a person who is raising for big causes like equality and acceptance can't even empower himself first about the fact that not all people are like him who's privileged enough and are not experiencing scarcity? #Becompassionate#justindizon

What pisses me off about Justin Dizon making a mess on a very mainstream platform with that much cultural power, is that the public now has yet another god-awful reference to associate queer people with. We always end up having to explain fucked up media portrayals to people.

Look, I dont get why matapobre si Justin and all. Also apaka insensitive nya from the part that he said “Pinaguusapan ka namin kasi hindi ka naliligo” to the point where he used the bath towel to dry his hands. I mean graduate ka diba? Asan yung aral na nakuha mo don? Goodness!

Jie-Ann admitted that due to the scarcity of water in her hometown she isn't used to taking regular baths, she told Big Brother during a conversation.
"Yung tubig namin doon, [P12 kada container.] Yung container namin tatlo lang. [Pangsaing, panghugas at pang inom lang iyon.] Kaya minsan hindi po ako nakakaligo," she said.
