Manny Villar has made it to the Bloomberg's top 500 billionaires, with a total net worth of $6.76 billion or estimated P325 billion, he lands at the 382nd spot according to January 11, 2021 index. This year's ranking, Villar is the only Filipino who made it to the list of the richest person in the world.
According to Bloomberg, the index, "is a daily ranking of the world's richest people" and "is a dynamic measure of personal wealth based on changes in markets, the economy, and Bloomberg reporting."
The former Tondo boy's wealth stems mostly from his real estate business.
Meanwhile, this year's index has put Elon Musk on top to become the world's richest person with $209 billion net worth, officially overtaking Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates with $186 billion, and $134 billion, respectively.
