You can get a COVID-19 swab test for Php 391 only at this government hospital

 For travellers, pandemic restrictions mean that many parts in the country or going to others countries are asking to submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test result upon entry.







But if your budget is tight and looking for a cheaper COVID-19 PCR test, here's where you can get.






The National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Quezon City announced on their social media account that they are offering Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test for Php 391 only.





The government-owned hospital said, all members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) with updated contribution at least six months will avail the discount. Added that qualified dependents from 21-year-old and below can also avail the special rate.







However, non-members can get a tests for PHP3,800, which is still more cheaper than the rate being offered to other private hospitals. Result will be released a day after the procedure from Monday to Saturday, at 1PM to 5PM and Sunday, at 10AM to 12NN.






"NKTI offers RT-PCR test from Monday to Sunday between 6AM to 10AM only at the Executive Parking Area (Near Main Building Entrance). Walk-ins are welcome," the announcement read.

The government has set a price range for swab tests, after some private hospitals had charged as much as PHP8,000 for each. Now, private hospitals and labs can only charge at PHP 4,500 to PHP5,000 for each RT-PCR.
