While FIBA Qualifying in Doha, Qatar, has been postponed to an indefinite date due to the spike of coronavirus cases, Kai Sotto on the other hand was reported of returning back to the United States for the ongoing G League bubble.
"Right now, the plan is to have him go back," Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) director of operations Butch Antonio told Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM.
Although the G League bubble is only until March 6, "we're working with him and his group in the US to make sure that there is time to join his team in the G League," Antonio said.
Antonio commended 7-ft-3 Kai Sotto for his commitment by flying back to the Philippines despite his G League stint, famously reported for a whopping $200,000.
