Naomi Osaka wins second Australian Open against Jennifer Brady

Naomi Osaka won the Australian Open fro her fourth Grand Slam singles title. She defeated Jennifer Brady 6-4, 6-3 as the best world's hard-court player.

"The biggest thing [remaining] that I want to achieve is — this is going to sound really odd, but hopefully I play long enough to play a girl that said that I was once her favorite player," Osaka said.

The 23-year-old who won half of the last eight majors she's entered, became the third player to win their first four major finals in the Open Era after Monica Seles and Roger Federer.

"I have this mentality that people don’t remember the runners-up," she said after sweeping Serena by 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals. “You might, but the winner’s name is the one that’s engraved. I think I fight the hardest in the finals. I think that’s where you sort of set yourself apart.”

When Osaka was asked what more she wants from tennis beyond trophies and success. “The biggest thing I want to achieve is – this is going to sound really odd, but hopefully I play long enough to play a girl that said I was once her favourite player,” she said.
