It looks like the Philippines is proving to be strong competition in the international music scene. Recently, another new boy group Alamat has debuted at the No.2 spot on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart, said to be the fastest Filipino act to make to world's music list.
Alamat is a group composed of nine members which could sing a total of seven Philippine languages such as Tagalog, Bicolano, Ilocano, Waray-waray, Kapampangan, Hiligaynon, and Bisaya.
They recently launched their self-wrtten debut single which quickly earned social media attention.
Their R&B track entered the Billboard's music chart at No. 2, the fastest-accelerating artist by the newly established Filipino group.
The group posted on its Instagram account saying, "ALAMAT now has the distinction of being the fastest Pinoy act to have made it unto said popular music listing."
