Cecilia Loreto, a 49-year-old Filipina who was first reported missing on March 17 discovered dead and then burned by two suspects in the City of Burnaby, Vancouver, Canada, local police reported on Thursday, March 25.
Police said that two persons, a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old are both arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
The alleged killer was named Carlo Tobias and a minor, where authorities was unable to disclosed his name.
Police believe that the Cecilia was killed at her home in New Westminster on March 17, 2021, the day before her body was found at Burnaby's Greentree Village Park.
The victim's body was found at around 2 a.m. in the park located near the BCIT campus. She was last seen on the night of March 17 in a black Honda Civic in New Westminster, according to reports.
