The Philippines have recorded 8,019 new coronavirus COVID-19 infections as of Monday, March 22, bringing the total tally to 671,792, with two laboratories failed to submit data on time.
This is the highest daily case count reported since the pandemic began.
The country has now 80,970 active cases wherein 95.4% are mild, 2.2% are asymptomatic, 0.9% are critical, and 1% are in severe condition.
Meanwhile, 103 more patients recovered - bringing to 577,850 total recoveries. The death toll rose to 12,972 with four new fatalities.
