April Fools gone wrong: Angeles City cops ordered relieved over prank video

 Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has ordered the relief of all personnel of Police Station 5 due to its involvement to a viral video circulated in social media, an attempt of arresting an individual turned to be an April Fool's Day prank. 









In a memorandum dated April 3, Lazatin told that the video posted on Facebook page SY Music Entertainment on Friday involving an alleged uniformed policemen and a police mobile patrol is "nonsensical activity' and "disadvantageous to the best interest of the government."





"This is not the kind of conduct that the public expects from their police officers,” the mayor said.







Lazatin directed Angeles City Police director PCol. Rommel Batangan to relieve immediately "all personnel from PNP Station 5," as well as to investigate all individuals including civilians involved in carrying out the said prank.  





The mayor also ordered Business Permit and Licensing Division to close down SY Music Entertainment and suspend their permit to operate due to a breach of public health protocols.
