Actress Sunshine Cruz confirmed that she was tested positive for COVID-19 and is still in self-isolation. According to her she got her RT-PCR last March 27, but it took her some time to accept since she was on a denial stage after learning the result.
"It took a while for reality to sink in, I thought I would be asymptomatic and would probably just isolate myself for 14 days to make sure that the people at home will be safe as well," she said.
The actress has been self-isolating at home for 20 days and she's taking different kinds of strong medicines.
She said that her doctor instructed her that she cannot leave her room "not unless my symptoms are gone. I have three kids and our kasambahays that i have to also protect from myself."
Today, April 15, 2021, Cruz will be taking another swab and she's looking forward to getting good result.
"To everyone, Covid is real! In my 43 years of existence, I’ve had fever, the flu, and coughs but Covid symptoms can’t be compared to what I’ve experienced before," she said.
