Rabiya Mateo burst into tears after receiving mixed reactions for National Costume at Miss Universe

 At this point, it's common knowledge that representing the country in the international pageant gives a lot of pressure, and Rabiya Mateo's feeling is undeniably relatable.





After the national costume show held on Friday, Rabiya took to her social media account and shared to her fans what she felt after receiving mixed reactions for her national costume.





She apologized to her fans who were disappointed at her for not wearing the complete outfit of the national costume.

"I'm so sorry kung na-disappoint kayo sa akin. I know I did my best," she said.





Miss Universe Philippine Shamcey Supsup National Director clarified that Rabiya was unable to wear the headpiece because it did not fit exactly to her head.

"I brought the headpiece but unfortunately, nahuhulog so it was hard for her to wear it so we decided na kung sass siya mas komportable kasi mabigat na din yung wings niya," Shamcey said.




Filipino creative director and queen maker Jonas Gaffud on his Instagram post, described the wings alone weighed 21 kilograms.
