Jeepney driver saves passengers before dying of heart attack

A jeepney driver saved the lives of his passengers as he was able to manage and stop in safe place even as he got chest pain, and later succumbed to a heart attack.

This incident happened along Mahogany road in Tagaytay City where the driver suffered a heart attack on a moving jeepney. Despite the unbearable pain, the driver parked the speeding jeepney on the side of the road before losing consciousness.

The jeepney driver is identified as the 55-year-old Pepe Rollon.

Salamat Tatay! May God bless you," the Facebook post read.

Immediately, fellow drivers and barangay officials came to rush him to the nearest hospital but, unfortunately he was declared dead on arrival.

His daughter Kathlene Paula in an interview with Manila Bulletin said: "Tinawagan po ako sa trabaho…

She added that her father was hospitalized at the Philippine General Hospital earlier this year due to a heart condition and recommended a heart bypass.
