13,177 new cases log in the Philippines

 The Department of Health have recorded 13,177 more new COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the country's active cases to 96,395 or 5.6% of the total. This is the second-highest daily highest infections reported since April 2 when over 15,000 cases have been reported.





The country's total confirmed COVID-19 cases now at 1,713,302 with four laboratories failed to submit data on time.




The total recoveries climbed to 1,587,069 after 4,322 more patients recovered from the illness. Meanwhile, there are 299 new fatalities that brought the death toll to 29,838.



Current data from the DOH showed that 66% of the intensive care unit beds nationwide are in use, while 51% of the mechanical ventilation are occupied.




ICU beds from the National Capital Region (NCR) has 60% utilization rate, while 54% of the mechanical ventilators are in use by patients.
