Drone captures mother, daughter swept away by floodwaters in Tinubdan falls

 A search and rescue continues for the mother and daughter who were swept away by floodwaters in the Tinubdan falls in Barangay Tabili.





Jacel Alastra, 32, and her daughter, Princess, 7, are still missing after a tragedy happened on Sunday, September 26.



The nephew of Alastra was the first body recovered from the spillway in Katambisan in Brgy. Corazon Sunday night, he is Kent Junde Monterolla, 17-year-old. 



The floodwater came as a surprise since the weather is good, according to witness. The caretaker of the waterfalls that sits on a government lot had warned local tourists of the possible flooding.




According to local police, the three were part of the group who visited the waterfalls on Sunday.




In the video that surfaced on social media, it could be seen several group of people who tried to rescue the victims but they were swept away by a strong current.
