Direk Mark Reyes eyes Kylie Padilla for Philippine adaptation of K-drama series 'My Name'

After 'Squid Game' global success people are now jumping for more Korean series recommendations and Netflix is definitely has something to offer for your K-drama thirst.

"My Name", is an action series packed with Korean thriller with some amazing cast which follows the journey of Ji Woo, daughter of an apparent gangster. As her father is brutally murdered in front of her on her birthday.

But despite Netflix may have just preparing for its new show, local adaptation has been eyed and Voltes Legacy Director Direk Mark Reyes has already the perfect woman in mind to do the job, Kylie Padilla.

On Instagram, Mark Reyes posted a poster of the Netflix upcoming series and praised Han So Hee for delivering on the role of "the revenge-driven ingenue turned fighting machine" Ji-woo.

"Watching the Korean Drama “My Name” on Netflix, I can not help but think of @kylienicolepadilla as the main character. Not because she looks as beautiful and can act as good as Han So-Hee. But because Kylie trained early in life as a martial artist. But Han So-Hee delivers as Ji-woo the revenge driven ingénue turned fighting machine," he wrote.

In the comment section Kylie seemingly thrilled about Direk Mark's plan when everything put into place.

"Direk gameeee pinoy remake," Kylie said.

Another fan said: "Omgeeee I thought of the same thing too. Miss Kylie would surely kill this kind of role too.
